    Thankyou Tyra for encouraging Blackface in the modeling realm (see the ‘Hapa’ episodes of ANTM last cycle). It’s not ‘okay now’.
    …yet it’s being snuck into Euro Hollywood, as well as approved of by some of our own.

    This is silly. I don’t think it’s silly because of the black face thing, I think it is because the shoot looks campy and cheesy. My question is, does anyone no what the article was about? Maybe they were trying to make some political statement about the US, It is a French magazine. It’s not like they tried to trick the audience into thinking the guy was black. His arms and chest were still white. I think as black people, culturally we’ve grown too sensitive. We are ready to cry wolf about everything. Of course we know there is still a lot of racism in the world but when we start complaining about Axe commercials because the guy was made of chocolate, it gets to the point were the media is walking on eggshells with “black matters”, and everything gets convoluted. No point is made but don’t offend the “blacks”.

    Hot mess, but, never heard of this rag, and, its more artistic than most of the black face trash whites seem to love when they smear black paint on a white face. But, don’t worry, they will NEVER hire or put a black dude on the cover, unless he’s with a white chick or a criminal, or a desperate plea for sales.

    And, oddly enough, the ones who did it will scream out loud they loves them some black folks and could never be racist, yeah right.

    i cannot believe this. tyra shouldn’t do this and neither should any of entity, be it in the name of modeling or no. do people really know how deep the scars and mental signals run when you deal with the origins of blackface and this depiction of the african-american in our country and for blacks throughout the world! i’m vomiting right now!!!
